Job Title: Executive Chef
Location: Luxurious Hotel, Dubai UAE
Reports To: General Manager

Job Overview:
The Executive Chef is responsible for overseeing all culinary operations at our luxurious hotel, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service are maintained at all times. This role requires a creative and passionate individual with experience in leading large teams, managing multiple dining venues, and delivering exquisite culinary experiences. The Executive Chef will collaborate closely with the General Manager and other department heads to create innovative menus that align with our hotel's upscale brand while adhering to cost control, food safety, and health regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire the culinary team across all dining venues, including restaurants, lounges, banquets, room service, and any special events.
  • Develop and design seasonal menus that highlight fresh, local, and sustainable ingredients, catering to a discerning clientele.
  • Maintain the highest standards of food quality and presentation, ensuring consistency across all dining outlets.
  • Oversee food production and preparation processes, ensuring efficiency and adherence to established recipes and specifications.
  • Manage and control food costs, portion sizes, and waste while maintaining profitability without compromising quality.
  • Collaborate with the Food and Beverage Director to create unique dining experiences that reflect the hotel's brand and luxury positioning.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff to build a high-performing team focused on excellence.
  • Ensure all culinary operations comply with local health and safety regulations, as well as hotel policies and procedures.
  • Stay current with industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences to ensure the hotel's culinary offerings remain innovative and competitive.
  • Participate in special events, banquets, and VIP functions, personally overseeing the preparation of bespoke menus and presentations.
  • Work closely with the General Manager and other department heads to ensure a seamless guest experience across all hotel services.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar leadership role within a luxury hotel or fine dining establishment.
  • Strong culinary skills with a deep knowledge of international cuisine, cooking techniques, and current food trends.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities with experience in leading large, multicultural teams.
  • Financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, cost control, and inventory management.
  • High standards of cleanliness, health, and safety in the kitchen.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
  • Creative flair with the ability to design innovative and memorable dining experiences.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional training; additional certifications in food safety and management are a plus.
