We are currently partnering with a top-tier banking institution based in Brussels, and we are looking for a skilled Medior Accountant to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Invoice Processing & Payments: Manage the processing and payment of invoices, ensuring timely and accurate filing.
- Account Maintenance: Maintain up-to-date accounts and ensure accuracy in all financial records.
- Monthly & Annual Closures: Prepare and assist in monthly and annual accounting closures.
- AP/AR Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline and improve Accounts Payable and Receivable processes.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed financial reports, offering insight into the company’s financial health.
- VAT & Tax Declarations: Manage VAT returns and assist with corporate tax declarations (ISOC & IPP).
- Budget Monitoring: Closely monitor and report on the company’s annual budget.
What We’re Looking For:
- Languages: Fluent in English and French/Dutch.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of SAP (S/4HANA), Belgian GAAP, IFRS 16, Horus, and Excel.
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, with additional certifications being a strong asset.
- Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in accounting, preferably with experience in the banking sector.
