We are currently seeking a new Internal Auditor for an insurance company who wishes to develop a comprehensive understanding of the entire business model of the organization, capable of challenging existing governance and processes while focusing on the most significant risks for the company.
What will your daily tasks entail?
Participating in 4 to 5 audit missions per year in line with industry standards and international internal audit standards, which involves:
- Acquiring an understanding of the activities of the organization under review by gathering information and conducting analyses (e.g., contract underwriting or claims management, management of financial investments or general purchases, insurance product launch processes, etc.)
- Identifying key risk factors and regulatory requirements in the audited domain
- Executing assigned internal audit tests and drafting quality audit documents
- Forming an independent and objective opinion on the relevance and effectiveness of governance mechanisms, decision-making, operational management, and their control and drafting an audit report
- Obtaining management buy-in by formulating recommendations to improve the effectiveness of their control environment to help the organization protect its assets and reputation, ensure its development, and build a trusting and transparent relationship with management.
- Validating the relevance and adequacy of remediation action plans established by management in response to review findings, monitoring and validating the operational implementation of these action plans to achieve a sustainable resolution of identified key risks.
- Participating in the continuous improvement of audit methods and procedures, developing business skills and knowledge of the regulatory and strategic framework so that the services of the audit function are aligned with the organization's challenges and meet the efficiency and effectiveness requirements expressed through international audit standards.
