YOUR MISSION
We are looking for a UI/UX designer with front-end development skills or interest to help building the fundamentals of our new and improved SaaS platform for creative content creators. At TinkerList, you will work together with the team on projects for international clients in television and entertainment business.
As UI/UX designer, you will:
- Craft and design every detail of our new platform and feature updates: from brainstorm and UX to pixel perfect designs and deliverables
- Be involved in every phase, from inception to implementation, as the development team and product designers work very closely together.
- Create and document our design system to help us scale our UI/UX workflows and keep consistency in our designs
- Participate in and set-up testing procedures with users or leads
- Support customer success in finding onboarding solutions and creating user knowledge materials
- Be a part of the weekly brainstorm about our product, together with the UX team and product owner, and iterate on designs
- Think outside of the box and be involved in the bigger picture by caring about business needs and product goals
- Share your skills and knowledge of good practices with the other team members in meetings and our TinkerTalks
YOUR PROFILE
The facts:
- You have already some 2-5 years experience in UI/UX and product design, whether as an employee, freelancer or self-learner
- Without blushing, you call yourself an expert in Sketch or Figma or a similar design tool. You might say the same about Balsamiq or other wireframe software.
- You know html, CSS and some basic Javascript and have a strong interest in everything that's front-end development.
- Knowing how to write CSS or CSS extension languages like LESS and CASS will get you some bonus points.
- Creating user flows & user stories feels like a walk in the park: you have done this before and you love it!
- You have experience with design systems: from creation to maintenance.
The figures:
- Being fluent in English is a must, strong communication skills are the key to success working in an international and remote team like ours.
- You have excellent presentation skills and know how to 'sell' your mock-ups, whether it's to your fellow nerdy colleagues or users that have never seen a computer before.
- As much as you love to think and brainstorm about designs, you have a hands-on mentality as well and know how to translate designs into straightforward to do's for the development team.
- You are 'strong believed, loosely held'. Rather than being alone on the field, you love to pass the ball to your team mates and score together. You take your time to listen and understand another's point of view and know when to meet half-way.
WHY US?
- A full-time contract
- A competitive salary in line with your experience, skills and knowledge
- 20 paid holidays, as well as public holidays, parental leave and a flexible ‘no ask, must tell’ time-off policy
- Flexible work hours and remote working
- Learning opportunities for personal development and growth
- We’re a high growth established startup with big plans for the future. That means a big challenge, but also means, big growth opportunities.
At TinkerList, we collaborate as an international and cosy team from all over the world, working closely together in a family-like atmosphere.
This role is either remote or Belgium-based, depending on your location. If you work from Belgium, you are offered a spot at our office in De Hoorn, a creative co-work space in Leuven.
ABOUT US
TinkerList is a cloud based application to support TV teams creating Talk Shows, Game Shows, Live Shows, Online News, Esports, Visual Radio and Events.
It supports the workflow through ideation, writing a script and rundown and handle media. In the technical environment of the studio, our online rundown integrates with prompters, graphic engine and play-out devices. The integration with graphic engines and play-out devices (like vMix) is done via our application TinkerList Cuez. This application handles media downloaded from the script and enables automation of media cueing during recordings. It’s a revolutionary and state-of-art application that means a digital revolution in TV and Event production.
We are a Belgium based company, with an international team working both from the office as remote from anywhere in the world, like Brazil, Argentina, Portugal and the Netherlands. Our company is growing, as we like to become world leader with our SaaS application in TV and Event production. Feel like joining our young and inspiring team?
