Our client is a prestigious international Bank looking for a new Legal Counsel. In their legal department, they are looking for new legal counsel to work on a new and exciting project.
Job Description:
- Closely tracking accounting standards (BGAAP/IFRS) developments, assessing their impact, and formulating sector opinions.
- Identifying trends and themes relevant to the Belgian insurance sector.
- Analyzing national and international proposals
- Representing the Group in external forums and persuading external partners.
- Serving as a point of contact for members on financial reporting and internal audit matters
- Monitoring and analyzing national and European prudential regulations for insurance, focusing on financial reporting (IFRS).
Your Profile:
- Master's degree in economics or finance.
- Relevant professional experience, especially in insurance
- Proficient in IFRS (9/17) and knowledgeable about insurance company annual accounts
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with an ability to present effectively. Bilingual in French and Dutch, with a good operational command of English.
- Outstanding interpersonal and diplomatic abilities.
- Strong communication skills in French and Dutch
