Finance, Risk, Regulatory, Compliance – Consultant Financial Services (min. 1 year of experience)

Square Management Belgium is looking for experienced consultants (min. 1 year) with significant experience and interest in the world of Finance, Risk, Regulatory & Compliance for major banking players in Belgium.

What do we expect from you in our Finance, Risk, Regulatory & Compliance expertise area?

• Ensure compliance with existing and new regulations (SFDR, ESG, AML/KYC, MIFID2, PRIIPS, KIID, FATCA, GDPR, Basel III, EBA/EIOPA guidelines, BNB circulars, etc.).
• Increase/improve operational efficiency in regulatory and compliance functions.
• Comply with financial security requirements.
• Plan, structure, assist, and document audits and controls.
• Internally, you will be involved in producing expert content (articles, publications, podcasts, etc.), as well as participating in RFP responses and initiatives within your community.

Are you the ideal candidate for this position?

• You hold a Master’s degree from a business school, engineering school, or university.
• You have at least 1 year of experience in a consulting firm, project environment, or financial services (banking/insurance).
• You speak French or Dutch (native language) and are fluent in English.
• You have knowledge and experience with existing banking regulations (SFDR, ESG, AML/KYC, MIFID2, PRIIPS, KIID, FATCA, GDPR, Basel III, EBA/EIOPA guidelines, BNB circulars, etc.), can adapt to legislative changes, and are able to structure, assist, and document audits and controls.
• Experience as a project manager, business/functional analyst, or process analyst is a major asset.
• You are client-oriented and understand the needs and expectations of stakeholders.
• You are rigorous in achieving your goals and possess strong analytical and communication skills (both oral and written).
• You are proactive, committed, and quickly adapt to new situations.
